National Center for Supercomputing Applications
New website for the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) located at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. Our design process included an extensive discovery phase where we gathered insights from NCSA stakeholders to help shape the content and structure of the site. Q provided strategy, information architecture, user interface design, and WordPress development – working collaboratively with NCSA’s stellar web project team throughout the process.
NCSA provides a wide-range of advanced computing, software, networking, data, and visualization resources across many research domains. Our strategy was to provide site visitors an overview of NCSA’s expertise in key research areas, and provide contact information at every point in the website experience. In addition, we suggested a Project Highlights section that features work being done across NCSA, independent of any one individual department’s expertise or research focus – allowing users to quickly understand the range of work NCSA is engaged in.
